What is a Crystal Capsule?
This Crystal Capsule is a passive water treatment device that
utilizes magnetic technology, fluid dynamics and the pool's
chemistry. It works in all swimming pool and spa filtration
systems that have a pump basket. The Crystal Capsule works with
all sanitizing systems, but does not replace them.
What does a Crystal Capsule do?
The Crystal Capsule produces unbelievably brilliant and sparking
swimming pool or spa water while making the water incredibly
soft. In addition, it reduces or eliminates calcium deposits
and metal stains, enhances chemical usage, stabilizes chemical demand,
and reduces or eliminates chemical irritation to the skin, eyes and hair.
How does the Crystal Capsule work?
The Crystal Capsule enhances the pool or spa's sanitation system
by accelerating the oxidation process. This breaks down contaminates
into harmless by-products thus reducing the total active contaminates
and stabilizing chemical demand.
Is the Crystal Capsule easy to use?
Installation and operation are extremely easy. Just place the
Crystal Capsule in the pump basket. It does not require any
additional plumbing or electrical work. When the pump is running,
the unit is in operation.
Does the Crystal Capsule require any maintenance?
The only maintenance required is keeping the pump basket free
of leaves or debris, which will clog the Crystal Capsule's vents.
A weekly check and cleaning (if necessary) of the pool’s
pump basket and capsule is recommended. Check and clean more
frequently during heavy debris periods such as the fall.
How long does it take the Crystal Capsule to work?
The Crystal Capsule begins working as soon as the pool's pump
is turned on. Visible improvement will be noticed in as little
as 6 hours of pump operation. Achieving full benefits can take
1 to 14 days depending upon the initial quality of the water
and the water's temperature.
How long will the Crystal Capsule last?
The Crystal Capsule will last two pool seasons and possibly
longer. As long as the plastic housing is in tact and not stained,
fractured or broken, the unit will perform as intended.
What is a Crystal Capsule CSU?
A Crystal Capsule Commercial Service Unit (CSU) is a much larger,
more powerful version of the Crystal Capsule. It is typically
used to treat the water when opening or reopening a pool or
spa, in treating problematic water conditions, and to meet chlorine
demands in pools or spas. Once treatment is complete, the CSU
is removed and a Crystal Capsule is installed to keep the water
balanced.
Does the CSU operate differently from the Crystal Capsule?
The CSU treats water in a fraction of the time the Crystal Capsule
does. The CSU connects directly to either a skimmer or a suction
cleaner line with a hose. Like the Crystal Capsule, the CSU
only operates when the pool's pump is running.
What effect does water temperature have on the operation of
the Crystal Capsule and CSU?
The Crystal Capsule and CSU improve the water's condition in
any water temperature. But, because sanitizing systems work
better in warmer water, so do the Capsule and CSU. Important:
in colder climates, at the end of the season, the Crystal Capsule
or CSU must be removed before winterizing the pool or spa.
Are there any safety concerns with the Crystal Capsule or
CSU?
The Crystal Capsule and CSU are very safe. They contain no harsh
chemicals and are non-toxic. The Crystal Capsule or CSU will
not increase or decrease the potency of the chemicals used in
the pools's sanitation system. Note: The Crystal Capsule
and CSU do have magnetic fields. Those with pacemakers or other
electronic medical devices should not handle them, and a five
foot distance should be kept between them and all other electronic
based equipment. |
